Family escape unharmed after Lupset house fire

A FAMILY were forced to flee their home after a fire broke out in the kitchen during the early hours of this morning.

The couple and their young son escaped unharmed after being alerted to the fire by smoke alarms.

Firefighters were called to Manor Haigh Road, Lupset, at 4.40am.

They believe the fire broke out after a pan was left on the hob.
