Fire at fast food restaurant

A FAST food restaurant had to close to customers after a fryer set alight.

Firefighters from Wakefield and Ossett tackled the blaze at KFC in Westgate Retail Park at around 1pm today (Saturday).

A deep fat fryer had overheated and caught fire.

Extinguishers were used to tackle the fire.

No one was injured.
