Green Day to headline Leeds and Reading Festivals
American punk rock band Green Day have been confirmed as the third and final headliner for this years Leeds Festival.
The band, which formed back in 1987 and have had hits with American Idiot, Basket Case and Boulevard Of Broken Dreams, will play at Bramham Park on Saturday, August 24.
They will join other main acts Biffy Clyro, who will perform on Friday, August 23, and rapper Eminem, who will close proceedings on Sunday, August 25.
The acts will also perform at Reading over the same weekend.
Green Day were the final headliner to be announced by organisers last night (Monday).
Other confirmed acts include Fall Out Boy, System of a Down, Deftones, Chase and Status, White Lies, Nine Inch Nails, The Lumineers, Editors and Jake Bugg.
