Jurors to visit scene of alleged kidnap
Jurors will visit the scene where Stephanie Hammill died next week.
On Monday morning they will also visit the scene where the alleged kidnap of Miss Hammill took place on Balne Lane during the early hours of November 29, 2003.
Greek national Ioannis Revenikiotis, 29, is charged with the kidnap and manslaughter of the 20-year-old travel agent.
At Sheffield Crown Court today (Thursday) Judge Mr Justice Wilkie told the jury: "On Monday morning we have scheduled a visit to the scene in Wakefield, in particular the areas of Balne Lane and Batley Road where the collision took place."
Revenikiotis formerly of School Crescent, Dewsbury, and more recently of Halkidiki, Greece denies a charge of kidnap and manslaughter.
The trial continues on Monday.
•On Monday the junction of Bell Street and Balne Lane will be closed and Batley Road will also be closed from late morning.
Wakefield Council have said diversions will be in place and a spokeswoman asked motorists to be patient.
