Looking for a job? Here’s a great place to start - Wakefield Works
WITH three big organisations signing up to complete the line-up for Wakefield Works, we are now turning to potential job-seekers to register their interest.
This week Wakefield Council, Coca-Cola, and the winners of the Wakefield Business of the Year award - Rexam - all agreed to take part in this initiative.
This takes the total number of companies opening up their doors on October 4 to almost 40.
So, have you ever wondered what it would be like to work in legal services?
Think you’d like to become the world’s best forklift truck driver?
Think you’d be great at customer service and being part of a successful team of people?
Dream of having the chance to meet some of the region’s leading employers about the job opportunities on offer in their industry?
Just wish you had the chance to talk to someone who can make a real difference to your career choices?
Participating companies are giving you the chance to visit their premises, talk about opportunities in their industry, meet employees and importantly, for the best candidate on the day, get at least one week of work experience.
If you’re looking for your first job after college, looking for your next new job or simply wanting to explore a different career path, then Wakefield Works is for you.
The scheme’s website will be switching over from employer to employee mode in the next few days - log on to www.wakefieldworks.co.uk There you will find a full list of businesses taking part, together with information about how you can register your interest in taking part on the day, as well as some guidance notes.
