Man accused of supplying drugs

A man accused of supplying crack cocaine and heroin in Lupset has been remanded in custody.
Yunus Patel, 25, is alleged to have dealt the Class A drugs at the junction of Broadway and St George’s Road on Monday.
He is also accused possessing the same drugs with intent to supply at the same location.
Prosecutor Graham Guest said the drugs were estimated to be worth £780 in total.
Patel, of no fixed abode, did not enter any pleas . Zahid Majeed, defending, applied for bail but District Judge Marie Mallon remanded Patel in custody. Judge Mallon said the case should ultimately be heard at Leeds Crown Court.
Patel’s case was adjourned until today when he faces a hearing before magistrates via the video link from prison.
