A MUM pushing a pushchair was grabbed in a ginnell by a man who demanded cash and valuables.

The 21-year-old woman was walking between Dovecote Lane and Saville Drive when she was approached last Thursday, January 10, at 11.20am.

The man ran off towards Saville Drive after the victim pulled out her pockets to show they were empty.

The suspect was described as white, 6ft tall, of slim build, and with a local accent.

He was wearing a black hooded top with ‘Nike’ written across the chest in white, black tracksuit bottoms and dark or black trainers or shoes.

Anyone with information should call Det Con Adrian Cowell at Wakefield CID on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
