Police appeal: Burglary in Horbury

Detectives in Wakefield have released an e-fit of a man they wish to speak in connection with a burglary in the city.

At around 1am on Saturday 28th August 26 a-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman were asleep at an address on Cluntergate, Horbury when they were awoken by a man shouting at them.

The suspect then assaulted the 26-year-old man before taking him and woman downstairs. He then made an untidy search of the home and stole a games console, a laptop and a wallet containing cash.

The suspect is described as a white man in his mid twenties, around 5"9 and of medium build. He had a ginger beard and dark black hair. He was wearing light blue tracksuit bottoms, black jacket and white Reebok classic trainers.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may recognise the man in the e-fit or who can help with investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Wakefield CID on 0845 60 60 606 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
