Man wanted by British Transport Police in connection with an assault on a 13-year-old

A 13-YEAR-OLD girl was assaulted on a train travelling between Wakefield Westgate and Leeds.

Police have released CCTV images of man they want to speak to about the attack which happened on Sunday, September 30, between 6.30pm and 6.45pm.

The girl was on a train when a man sat next to her and stroked her leg, arm and back.

Det Con Gary Heseltine said: “We have viewed CCTV from the time of the incident and believe the man pictured may have key information about the assault.

“The victim has been left extremely shaken following this unsavoury incident. We simply will not tolerate this type of behaviour and we will continue to carry out extensive enquiries to locate the offender.”

The man was described as being of Indian appearance, aged in his mid to late twenties with short, black hair.

He was wearing a light grey suit and a navy blue striped scarf.
