Pop star Alesha in park
POP princess and Strictly Come Dancing winner Alesha Dixon chatted to fans as she took a break from filming in a Normanton park.
Alesha was in Haw Hill Park last week filming for a BBC3 documentary she is presenting.
Fans Lucy Thornton and Claudia Tannant were in the park on Monday when they spotted the singer.
Freeston Business and Enterprise College pupil Lucy, 15, said: “We were just walking through the park when we saw a big partition, and two ladies walking along being filmed. It was only when we got much closer that we realised it was Alesha.
“Soon quite a lot of people had come down to watch and when she stopped filming she came over and chatted and posed for pictures with everyone.
“She was really friendly and just like she is on the television.”
The documentary, which is set to be shown in the early autumn, is about the phenomenon of men having children with multiple partners, and how if a person does not know who their biological father is, they could be missing vital information about their genetic heritage.
It is thought a woman from Normanton will tell her story in the film.
