THERE will be an Olympic theme to this year’s Wakefield Hospice Santa Dash at Pugneys Country Park.
When hundreds of people run laps of the park dressed as Father Christmas next month, they will also be able to touch an Olympic torch.
Ian Tippen, 65, of Wakefield, was a torch bearer and carried the flame into Headingley Stadium.
He has supported the hospice throughout his career, which has seen him run 103 marathons.
The Santa Dash is open to all ages and abilities on Sunday, December 2, at 10.30am.
