She's a model and she's looking good!

A STANLEY beauty has beat 9,000 other women to be crowned GMTV's Face of 2010.

Viewers fell in love with 18-year-old Seani Armitage, who gained almost 50 per cent of their votes.

Seani will be introduced to top model agency Storm – which has Kate Moss and Lily Cole on its books.

And next week she will be on the cover of Now magazine and has also been put forward to front a new advertisement campaign by trendy hairdresser Toni & Guy.

Seani, of Hargreaves Avenue, said: “I was so nervous before they announced the winner that I was shaking ridiculously.

“We had to wait for what felt like five minutes with this creepy music playing and lots of lights flashing.”

Today she came back down to earth as she went back to sixth form at Outwood Gange Academy.

Proud mum Fiona Thompson, 43, said: “I’m absolutely over the moon for Seani, I’m so proud of her.

“Obviously I thought she was the prettiest girl out of all other contestants because I’m her mum.

“But at the beginning when she saw how pretty all the other girls were Seani wasn’t convinced. But when she got down to the final six I knew she was in with a good chance.”

Seani is currently studying her a-levels and also works part-time at Argos and a hairdressers.

The judges were Now magazine’s fashion director, Karen Buglass, Sacha Mascolo-Tarbuck, who is global creative director for Toni & Guy group, and legendary model scout Fiona Ellis.

Not only did they love Seani’s English rose look, they also picked her for her confidence and bubbly personality.
