Tributes paid to Westgate landlady

ONE of Westgate's longest-serving landladies has died after collapsing in the pub she loved.

Kim Fairhurst, 47, who ran The Waggon for almost 13 years, died on Tuesday after suffering a massive heart attack.

Her fiance, Steve Townsend, and son, Chris Cameron, paid tribute to the woman who 'lived life to the full'.

Mr Townsend, 43, said: "Kim was a wonderful woman. She loved her holidays and we have travelled all over the world together. I will miss her so much.

"She did a lot for charity - raffles, a race night, fancy dress. In particular she raised a lot for leukaemia charities because Chris' twin, Craig, died from the disease when he was three."
