A TRUCK smashed into the front of an Italian restaurant.
Police and firefighters were called to Rinaldis, on Asdale Road, in Sandal, at 11.50pm last night (Monday).
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said a black Toyota pick-up truck had crashed into the front of the restaurant as the driver was trying to leave the car park.
Firefighters freed a man who was trapped in the truck but another man, who was also in the truck ran off.
Police arrested a 39-year-old man on suspicion of driving whilst over the prescribed alcohol limit.
