Video: Wakefield pupil has his hair shaved off for Teenage Cancer Trust
A teenager was inspired to have his hair shaved off after losing his close friend to cancer.
Daniel Gough, 16, of Wrenthorpe, only decided to make the bald move last Monday to support the Teenage Cancer Trust.
And by the time he had his hair removed inside a packed school hall at St Thomas a Becket School on Friday, he had raised £1,300.
The money will go to the charity’s ward at Leeds General Infirmary (LGI), which cared for Daniel’s neighbour Alistair Turner before he died from a brain tumour in 2011, aged just 19.
Daniel had his hair shaved off by his mum Angela, while Alistair’s mum Jane and sister Emma watched on.
