Wakefield man taken to hospital after being hit by a train near Streethouse
A Wakefield man is in hospital with leg injuries after he was hit by a train near Streethouse station last night (Monday).
British Transport Police (BTP) officers and ambulance staff were called to the line between Wakefield Kirkgate and Knottingley at around 7.15pm.
A 22-year-old man was taken to Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield, where he remains this morning (Tuesday).
A BTP spokesman said: “Officers are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident, which is currently being treated as non-suspicious.”
