Wakefield scouts' Independence Day event

AMERICAN Independence Day will be given a twist by a group of enterprising scouts.

The 12th Wakefield Scout Group are holding a red, white and blue July the 4th coffee morning to raise funds for the troop.

As well as traditional treats there will be an array of American classics including pancakes and syrup.

There will also be lots of fun to have with stocks, games and a high-win raffle with prizes including driving lessons and meals out.

The fun starts at 10am tomorrow, Saturday, July 4, at West Wakefield Methodist Church Hall on Horbury Road.
