Warning for music fans heading to Leeds Festival
ORGANISERS of the Leeds Festival are warning music fans not to get stung by ticket touts.
Tickets for the festival, held annually at Bramham Park, near Wetherby, go on sale on Monday, March 29.
But professional-looking websites are already appearing on the internet claiming they have passes for sale.
And sellers on auction site eBay are also advertising multi-ticket deals for hundreds of pounds with 'Buy Now' tags.
But event organiser Festival Republic say fans could get ripped off if they buy tickets early.
A spokesman for the firm said: "If any sites are claiming to sell tickets, they are not an official agent and have not received them legitimately from us. Do not get scammed."
Festival Republic managing director Melvin Benn also fears fans could get stung for fake tickets from touts selling outside Bramham Park.
Mr Benn said: "The crooks are getting better."
Prices for this year's festival have yet to be announced and the line-up will be also be unveiled on March 29.
