Window cleaner died after falling from ladder

A WINDOW cleaner died days after falling from his ladder.

Roland Jungbauer ,43, fell while working in Grey Court , Outwood , on March 9, an inquest heard.

He was admitted to Pinderfields Hospital but later transferred to Leeds General Infirmary.

A scan revealed brain injuries and he was taken to the intensive care unit and on March 12 underwent decompression surgery .

A further scan six days later revealed unrecoverable extensive brain damage.

Mr Jungbauer, of Church Street, Ossett, died on March 19 , after doctors switched off his life support machine.

Coroner David Hinchliff adjourned today's hearing to await the outcome of police and Health and Safety Executive enquiries.
