SUMMER GALA: Eastmoor Junior Dragons are holding their summer gala tomorrow and Sunday on the King George playing field. There will be lots going on for all the family - the fun starts at 10.30am-4pm. Everyone is welcome.

HOLY COMMUNION: At St Andrew's church on Sunday at 10.15am the Holy Communion Service will be led by the Rev Dawn Ingham, preach John Milne, readings taken from Colossians and Luke will be by Pam Aveyard and prayers for the church, community and world will be by Elizabeth Ewan. Refreshments will be served following the service and everyone is welcome.

SIMPLY LEISURE: At St Swithun's community centre on Monday from 1pm-3pm Simply Leisure will have a visit from Clarke Hall. Entrance is 1 and includes refreshments that will be served during the meeting and all are welcome.

LITTLE FISHES: At St Andrew's church on Thursday, July 15 from 9.15am-11.15am the Little Fishes group for toddlers, mums and carers will meet. Entrance is 1 per child and includes toast, fruit and a drink and all are welcome.

METHODIST TRIP: Last Saturday 50 members, children and friends of Trinity Methodist church enjoyed a coach trip to Filey. The weather was perfect for the outing, which culminated with everyone meeting at Filey Methodist Church for a fish and chip tea before returning home.

SUNDAY LUNCH: At a lunch held last Sunday by Trinity Methodist church after morning worship, Miss Margaret Dodd was presented with a book token to mark having served the Wakefield Circuit for 40 years as a local preacher.

METHODIST COFFEE: The monthly Coffee morning of Trinity Methodist church will take place at 10am and all proceeds are for Action For Children. At 10.45am Rev Trevor Grewcock will lead the Junior Church Anniversary service. The children of the church will be taking part in Family Worship. At 6pm Rev Grewcock will lead a service of Holy Communion during which Mrs Joyce Pearson, Mrs Eileen Hemingway and Mrs Maggie Armitage will be received into membership of the Methodist Church. Everyone is very welcome.

GOLF FUN: Generation Xchange are holding a FREE Intergenerational Golf Tournament at the City of Wakefield Golf Course on Thursday, July 29 for residents within the WF postcode. Each team entered has to consist of one player over 50 and one player under 25, and has the chance to win the GenX Golfing Trophy 2010 as well as a 1st prize worth 100. Refreshments will be provided for everyone at the end of tournament presentation. Tee off is at 4pm with 12 holes, 4 Ball BB medal format and a maximum handicap limit of 28. Please note there are limited spaces only, so make sure you contact the Generation Xchange team as soon as possible on 01977 604752 or Freephone 0800 588245 to register your team and avoid disappointment.
