Gala plan hots up
MUSIC and dancing will be on the bill at the 19th Ossett Gala.
The community event will be compered by DJ Andy Lloyd, with performances from Wakefield Orchestral Wind, Horbury Victoria Band and the Silver Leaf Jazz band throughout the day.
Westgate Cheerleaders, Shogun Martial Arts, David Harrison Line Dancers and Crofton Starlighting Majorettes will also perform at the event, which raises money for local charities.
The gala will also feature a show in the town hall by Wakefield Geranium and Fuchsia Society, and trade and charity stalls on the town’s precinct.
Ossett Gala takes place on Saturday, July 19 and progammes, priced 20p, are available from shops throughout the town. Tickets for a raffle, taking place on the day at around 3pm, are also available at 1.
