Have your say on Coca Cola wind turbine plans
A PUBLIC consultation will be held over plans to build a wind turbine standing at around 110m at a Coca Cola depot in Wakefield.
Coca Cola Enterprises plans to build a two megawatt turbine at its bottling and distribution depot at Wakefield 41 Business Park, Outwood.
The company is working with green electricity firm Ecotricity on the plan, which could use up carbon dioxide equivalent to that produced by 600 cars a year.
A public exhibition will be held at Outwood Church Institute, Leeds Road, on Tuesday (August 19) from noon to 7pm, where representatives from Ecotricity will answer questions about the plans.

Another exhibition will then be held at Outwood Library, Victoria Street, on Wednesday, August 20, until September 3.
An application is due to be submitted to Wakefield Council's planning department. Details are also available online at www.ecotricity.co.uk/cce- wakefield. Morrisons has also applied to build a 50m turbine at its depot at the business park. If approved, it would be used to monitor wind speeds to decide if a permanent turbine could be sited there.
