Horse injured after getting trapped under car on Wakefield route
A HORSE was injured after it got trapped under a car on Heath Common.
Police were called after the driver of a black Vauxhall Frontera hit the foal after it ran into Black Road just before 7.30am this morning.
A vet, and the animal's owner, are at the scene.
Police rounded up some other horses close to the scene of the accident near to The Horse and Groom pub.
One lane of the road was kept open as police and fireighters dealt with the incident.
