Ossett mill blaze is investigated
SMOKE was seen pouring from an Ossett mill last night after machinery caught fire.
Four fire engines from Ossett and Dewsbury attended Edward Clay rag mill on Dewsbury Road at around at around 8.30pm after being alerted by members of the public who saw the smoke.
Staff attempted to put out the fire inside the building before fire crews arrived.
They were at the scene for around three hours and used a hose reel to extinguish the blaze.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
