Sports awards
An Ossett disabled sports group is gearing up to host its 16th annual sports awards dinner.
This month the Federation of Disability Sports Organisations will hand out 13 awards including young achiever of the year.
Entries have come in from all over Yorkshire and Humber but Wakefield will be well represented.
Kevan Halliday-Brown, chief executive, said: "The awards dinner is an important and prestigious event that enables us to recognise the high sporting achievement of disabled individuals and teams, as well as those who have worked so hard to make these achievements possible."
The dinner will take place at Leeds United Conference and Exhibition Centre on Friday, March 19.
