Man found wandering on hard shoulder of M62 motorway
Police closed the M62 motorway near Castleford last night after reports of a man walking on the hard shoulder.
The westbound carriageway near junction 31 was closed at around 2am while officers attended.
A police spokeswoman said a 54-year-old man was detained under the Mental Health Act.
