Friends will hold a memorial gig for a teenager who died after being electrocuted while climbing on a freight train.

Kyle Bradley, 16, was killed after he touched the power cables on a railway line in Wrenthorpe on Saturday, July 11.

His friends will perform at The Snooty Fox on Brunswick Street on Friday playing songs dedicated to Kyle.

They will be raising money to help his family pay for his funeral.

The Snooty Fox landlord Malcolm Shipman said: “It is a hard time for everyone. No-one expected that to happen to someone of such a young age.

“His friends will be making a playlist for him and some will be performing live on stage.”

The gig takes place on Friday from 7.30pm. Anyone interested in performing should call Mr Shipman on 07989 508963.
