Firefighters at Normanton Fire Station could become worldwide pin ups after taking their kit off for a charity calendar.
The station’s Blue Watch members Alan Hoare, Michael Dooley, Darren Hague, Neil Smithers and Luke Wilson will be striking poses for two pictures in the calendar, which has its worldwide release this month.
The official West Yorkshire Fire Service calendar, entitled Red Hot Firefighters, has raised more than £100,000 for various charities.
The sixth annual calendar, will raise money for Parkinsons UK, The Laila Milly Foundation, Fire Fighters Charity and the spinal ward at Pinderfields Hospital as well as other local charities.
Mr Smithers, who is also Mr December, said: “It’s 100 per cent for charity. It isn’t on sale in shops so we need to publicise it as much as possible.
“We’re not models, we’re real firefighters wanting to give something back.”
There is also a Facebook and Twitter competition running so that people can retweet their favourite picture from the calendar.
And the top three pictures will made into tea towels. The competition closes on Monday, August 18.
