THE OLYMPIC torch has arrived at junction 41 industrial estate.
It has just been greeted by workers an crowds as it makes its way to Wakefield city centre where the excitement is rising in anticipation of its arrival within the next 30 minutes.
Dawn Morris, of Crofton, is stood on Bond Street with her children Alfie, 4, Charley, 11 and Billy, 13.
She said: “The children are enjoying the entertainment, spinning plates with the clowns. I think the atmosphere is fantastic and I can’t believe how many people have turned up today, We are looking forward to seeing the torch change over.”
Harry Crowther, 13, of Mirfield, is due to pass the torch to Jono Lancaster, 27, of Normanton, before the torch heads down Wood Street to the Bull Ring.
