Householders had to be treated for smoke inhalation after a cooker caught fire at a house in Lupset.

Crews from Wakefield and Ossett were called to the house on Manor Haigh Road on the evening of Friday September 20, but found the blaze was almost out when they arrived.

Ambulance crews treated the occupants for the effects of smoke inhalation, but the house was not badly damaged by the fire.
