A UNIQUE range of artwork depicting Pontefract’s most prominent landmarks has gone on sale in the town.
Mugs, postcards and fridge magnets displaying work by artist Linda Golding have been produced to help boost the town as a tourist destination.
Pontefract’s castle, museum and Counting House are among landmarks portrayed in the artwork, which was specially commissioned by Wakefield Council.
David Dagger, the council’s cabinet member for culture, said: “I am delighted with the artwork which is being featured on items such as mugs, fridge magnets, notebooks, postcards and many other items.
“We also have mounted prints of the artwork which will make ideal gifts to former residents living elsewhere.
“Pontefract is becoming increasingly popular as a tourist destination and I am sure that the stylish items that have been produced will prove to be very popular with visitors.”
