Police offer free football sessions in Normanton

Young footballers will show off their skills during a summer soccer scheme being run by the police.

Officers from Normanton neighbourhood police team (NPT) will run their first Back of the Net Sportivate session tomorrow (Wednesday).

Training and matches will be held at Haw Hill Park, off Castleford Road, Normanton, between 1pm and 3pm.

It is aimed at giving young people, aged between 14 and 25, the chance to play matches for free.

Sessions will run for six weeks ahead of a tournament, which will be played in Knottingley on Saturday, September 7.
