DETECTIVES hunting a man wanted in connection with a serious sexual assault believe he maybe in Wakefield.
They want to speak to Araz Latif Najmaden, 21, following an incident in Preston during the early hours of Sunday, June 26 last year.
A 24-year-old woman, who had been on a night out in the city centre, was subjected to a serious sexual assault.
Officers previously released CCTV images of Mr Najmaden, of no fixed address, to try and trace him.
Det Sgt Chris McCreadie, of Preston CID, said, “We know that Mr Najmaden has links to Middlesbrough, Salford, Wakefield and Scunthorpe as well as Lancashire and we would appeal for anyone who knows where he is to come forward.
“I would also appeal direct to Mr Najmaden to come forward and contact the police. We need to speak to him urgently about this incident and he needs to contact us.”
