Power cut affecting 1,400 homes this morning

Almost 1,400 homes have been left without power this morning in the Knottingley and Ferrybridge area.

The shortage has been caused by an unexpected problem with the cables or equipment that serve the area.

First reported at 8.14am, it is estimated 1,390 homes are affected.

It is hoped the power will be restored by 9.45am.
