A CHILDCARE centre which looks after children from three city schools has been praised by government inspectors.
The Ofsted inspection of childcare at the Mount found the after-school club to be good with outstanding features.
The centre, based at The Mount J&I School, on Thornes Road, runs Monday to Friday term-time sessions from 3pm to 6pm, and also looks after kids from Snapethorpe Primary and English Martyrs Catholic Primary schools
The inspectors said staff had an exceptional understanding of child development.
Their report said: Children are polite, listen to the staff’s instructions and behave well.
“Children thrive on a healthy lifestyle because of the daily physical play experiences and the food they eat at the setting.”
