A record-breaking snooker player is hosting a free day of snooker for children.
Anthony Hebblethwaite, who gained a place in the record books after a marathon 76-hour snooker session with his brother Nathan last year, will be running practice and beginners routines at St Michael’s Snooker Club, Alverthorpe Road, Wakefield on August 27 from 10am to 7pm.
There are no sign up fee, table fee or coaching fees.
Mr Hebblethwaite, who will be overseeing all play, said: “I did a World Record, reached an English Final and completed my World Snooker badges all in 12 months. I thought now was the best time to start setting up something sustainable at my local club. I would love to get the young people playing the game. It is free, come on down.”
