Drivers are being reminded that a road closure will be in place during the Wakefield Hospice 10K Road Race and 1K Mini Run.

A rolling road closure will be put in place on Horbury Road while the annual event goes ahead on April 3.

The closure could be in place between 8.30am and 11.30am.

But it will re-open as soon as possible – which is usually around 10am.

The main races start from Lawefield Lane, Thornes, Wakefield.

A 1K Mini Run will also be held at 10.15am in Clarence Park.

The race is set to raise more than £55,000 for patient care, which is enough to run the entire hospice for a week. Visit www.wakefield10k.org.uk
