WHEELS FOR ALL: The Mulberry Club’s next Wheels for All session will be on Saturday, August 13. The club is based at the Ryhill and Havercroft Sports Centre on Mulberry Avenue, and provides adapted bikes for kids with disabilities. The cycle sessions are free, call 01226 723659 to book a place.

ST JAMES CHURCH: There will be the Sung Eucharist at St James Church, Ryhill, this Sunday, starting at 10.30am. In addition the Sunday Club offers games, singing and activities to kids of all ages, also starting at 10.30am in St James Church.

WALTON METHODIST CHURCH: The Revd Richard Oldroyd will lead the service of Holy Communion on Sunday at 10.30am. On Tuesday, Open Door coffee morning is from 10 - 11.30am, everyone is welcome to call in for a cuppa and a chat. On Wednesday the Craft Class meets from 9.30am - noon. LIFEBOATS: Walton Branch RNLI are holding an Afternoon Tea on Thursday August 18, from 3 - 4.30pm in Walton Village Hall. There will be various stalls and a raffle. WALTON WARRIORS: Walton finished the summer season with a superb performance against top of the league Knottingley, in red hot weather conditions.losing in the last minute, to a disputed try. Walton lost 28 - 24, but an all-round effort bodes well for the new season, from March to September next year. There will be a presentation night at Walton Community Centre on Saturday August 13, starting at 8.30pm, with hot food and karaoke -disco to celebrate the success of the first summer season.

SOUL NIGHT: There will be a night of northern soul music with top guest DJ’s at Walton Community Centre on Friday August 19.
