A SEX attacker is still on the run more than a week after he assaulted a woman in Eastmoor.
Detectives are hunting for a man who subjected his 23-year-old victim to a serious sex attack in a ginnel.
It happened between Barden Road and Malham Road at around 11.30pm on Wednesday, December 19.
The suspect has been described as white, of slim build and with dark, spiky hair.
He was wearing a distinctive hooded jumper with a silver coloured stripe down the hood.
Detectives are also trying to trace a group of three men who were seen near the ginnel at the time of the attack.
They believe they may hold vital information that could help track down the suspect.
They said a number of people also walked past the ginnel shortly before the attack.
They believe they might be able to help the investigation.
People living near to where the woman was attacked described how they were woken up in the early hours on Thursday morning by police asking if anyone had seen or heard anything suspicious.
The ginnel, which runs between the flats on Barden Road and a field behind Malham Road was closed to the public last week.
Officers were stationed at either end while forensic experts carried out a detailed examination of the scene.
Anyone with information should call police on 101.
