Travellers who set up camp at the side of the road in Sharlston will move on tomorrow.
Around eight caravans were pitched on land beside Weeland Road, in Sharlston, on Friday.
Parish council chairman Alexandra Devey said Wakefield Council’s gypsy liaison officer has spoken to the party and they have agreed to move on Tuesday morning.
She said if they do not leave police will be informed to help assist them.
Police confirmed that travellers have also set up in a park off Willowbridge Way, opposite Castleford Rugby Union ground, in Whitwood.
The council’s gypsy liaison officer is also in negotiations with them.
