Beer drinkers helped raise money for charity by raising a glass of their favourite beverage at the weekend.
A scout troop and Dementia UK were just two of the good causes to benefit from the Rotary Club of Wakefield’s inaugural beer festival.
The festival, which showcased 20 ales from Yorkshire micro breweries, was staged at 15th Scout Group on Barnsley Road, Newmillerdam, on Friday and Saturday.
The event was opened by the Mayor of Wakefield Brian Holmes and his wife Janet.
Food was provided by Blacker Hall Farm Shop, while Richmond Butchers supplied 100 pork pies and Ossett Brewery sourced the beers.
On Saturday there was a free bouncy castle for children, plus jazz music.
