SNOW has caused travel disruption this morning – and it is expected to continue falling throughout the day.

A lane has been closed on the M62 eastbound carriageway between junctions 27 and 28.

And delays were reported on the A642 Aberford Road in Stanley, where traffic lights had failed at the junction of Lake Lock Road.

Metro said there were partial closures on bus services 231, 232 and 436 due to the severe weather conditions.

A weather warning issued by the Met Office said the snow could continue into the afternoon in West Yorkshire.

But it said little snow would accumulate on roads and pavements below 200m and that the conditions would clear this evening.
