Team Alfie are ready to take on the challenge of the Three peaks to raise money for a charity close to their hearts.
Litlle Alfie Brook, 6, has cystic fibrosis.
And the six-year-old from Wakefield has inspired his grandad Kevin Javens and auntie Natalie Javens, who are part of an 11 strong team of family and friends, to take on the challenge to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
On Saturday afternoon they will be setting off from Eastmoor to head to the Yorkshire Dales to tackle Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough on Sunday at 7am, within 12 hours.
They have set a modest target of £500 but are hoping raise much more.
Mr Javens said: “Whether you know Alfie or not please donate what you can. This charity is so close to eradicating cystic fibrosis for good. I want to thank Nigel Robinson, Kyle, Natalie, Emma, Dale, Daz, Nathan, Neil Wilkes and Craig Lloyd , as well as all those supporting me on this challenge. It is a challenge as I am not very fit but I hope I have the stamina to complete it.
“We aren’t mountaineers- but it is a team effort and I could not attempt it without the team.”
