An organisation which helps artists from the city develop their skills has appointed a new boss.
Stuart Tulloch has joined the Art House, on Drury Lane, as chief executive.
Mr Tulloch has come to the city from his previous job as curator of Ikon, a contemporary arts venue in Birmingham.
Mr Tulloch said: “My interest in the role at The Art House stemmed from the fundamental reason why I work in the visual arts – to support artists to think ambitiously and make excellent things happen.
“I look forward to contributing to the organisation’s continued success and to conceive and lead ambitious plans for its future.
“I want to build upon The Art House’s founding principle to be a champion of diversity and attract an even wider audience to its programmes.”
Mr Tulloch has previously worked at the Hatton Gallery in Newcastle and London’s Hayward Gallery. He was also curater of the Grundy Art Gallery in Blackpool.
