Stonehenge is set to appear at Yorkshire Sculpture Park (YSP) next week - in the form of a life-sized inflatable replica.
Turner Prize-winning artist Jeremy Deller’s interactive artwork, Sacrilege, will ‘pop up’ in West Bretton on Wednesday from noon until 6pm.
Clare Lilley, director of programme at YSP, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Sacrilege to YSP this July and hope our visitors will enjoy this irreverent and playful work in a truly memorable experience.”
Stonehenge, in the form of a bouncy castle, is a free exhibition touring the country as part of the nationwide London 2012 festival.
British artist Mr Deller said: “A lot of my work deals with history, and Sacrilege is no exception. This is a way to get re-acquainted with ancient Britain with your shoes off.”
