Two youngsters enjoyed the trip of a lifetime when they visited Santa in Lapland, thanks to the When You Wish Upon A Star charity.

Rosanna and Toby Cornforth-Revill, from Woolley Grange, had the chance to enjoy husky rides, reindeer trails, snowballing and took a trip around Santa’s village to see the elves after mum Justine applied to go on the annual trip with the charity, which grants wishes for children with life threatening illnesses.

Six-year-old Rosanna has Type 1 diabetes and coeliac disease and has to endure injections and being attached constantly to an insulin drip; while Toby, four, has Down’s Syndrome. Rosanna was told about the trip in a school assembly when she was presented with a giant invitation from Santa.
