Two men from Dewsbury arrested by counter terrorism police yesterday morning (Wednesday) have been bailed.

Officers from the North East Counter Terrorism Unit arrested the 33-year-old and 43-year-old along with three others from South and West Yorkshire as part of an ongoing investigation into a purported Syrian aid charity.

The men were arrested on suspicion of fraud by false representation.

Also arrested were a 32-year-old man and a 53-year-old man from Halifax, and a 38-year-old man from Sheffield.

The five were taken to police stations in South and West Yorkshire for questioning before being bailed.
