Four council employees have been shortlisted to win an award for the work they have done for the community.

Commissionaire at Wakefield Town Hall and County Hall Paul Dunn, senior tourism officer Hazel Birdsall, business manager Mick McKigney and countryside ranger Susan Worrall have all reached the final of the People’s Choice category of Wakefield Council’s Pride Awards.

Earlier this year residents voted for the council team or individual who they felt had delivered a high quality service through the work they do in the council, or for the local community or charities.

And the winner will be announced at a ceremony on Friday, September 13.

Votes must be received by Friday, August 30.

Postal votes can be made to Pride Awards, FREEPOST NEA5394 Room 6, Town Hall, Wood Street, Wakefield WF1 2BR, stating the chosen finalist’s name.

You can also email prideawards@wakefield.gov.uk with your winning name, or call 0845 8 506 506.
