The district’s brightest and most innovative businesses will be celebrated at an annual awards ceremony.
The sixth Wakefield Business Awards will be held on Thursday, June 16, at Unity Works in Wakefield.
The awards will celebrate vibrant and flourishing businesses across the city which have not only provided great customer service and products, but also jobs for the community and helped boost the local economy.
Details of the award categories for this year’s event will be announced shortly - and prospective sponsors are invited to get in touch.
And this year we will also be adding some new and exciting retail categories to the awards.
Last year radio personality Jon Hammond compered the awards evening in front of a crowd of more than 200 local businessmen and women at a black tie event at Unity Works in the main Unity Hall.
Winners in the 2015 awards included 6B Digital, which was named New Business of the Year.
International Business of the Year was SoftSols Group and Crompton Controls got the award for Business and the Environment. And Business Person of the Year was Claire Young.
More details of the 2016 contest will be released during the coming weeks. To find out about sponsoring a category call Lynda Hargill on 01924 433058 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
