Schoolchildren with an eye for a great picture could win themselves a brand new digital camera.
The Express has teamed up with Wakefield College to launch a photography competition for pupils in school years seven to 11.
And the only brief is that the image has to represent the season of either autumn or winter. But how this is interpreted is down to the individual photographer.
Pictures can be of a conventional wintery scene or a more unusual take on the theme by using different imageries and colours.
Express news editor Gavin Murray said: “I am really looking forward to seeing the entries as I know there is a lot of talent among our young people.
“Creativity and imagination will play an important part in the selection process.”
The top 20 pictures will be published in the Wakefield Express in the Friday, December 13 and 20 editions.
It will then be up to our readers to vote for their favourite.
The winner will receive a Nikon D3200 Digital SLR Camera, plus a fashion shoot for them and four friends.
Second place will get £25 worth of High Street vouchers.
And the top three images will be mounted and presented to the photographers and go on display in the college.
Deadline for entries is Monday, December 2.
Entries need to be sent via email to firstname.lastname@example.org They should include your name, age, school and a contact telephone number.
